“ 質問者様が名前につける「子」という漢字の意味を知っておられるかわからないので、念のため。
最近の親は「名前に子なんてダサい」とかいうくだらない理由で子をつける人が減っているそうですが、名前の子という漢字は子どもの子ではなく、「一と了」の字の複合です。
つまり、一(始め)から了(最後)まで、一生という意味です。
